Naked Body Painting - Body painting is certainly one of our favourite things to do while nude, both at our indoor Nude Night Outs and at outside parties. It's a playful combination of art, imagination and nudity and all you need is a brush (or your fingers) and some paint.
But some truly take it the next level as a real art form, the body functioning as the sailcloth and turning into a living, breathing work of art. This is what NYC artist Andy Golub does. In public. And in the most congested streets of Nyc! Andy has gotten a ton of press and caused quite a stir since his reside naked body painting began in Times Square and took place in over 20 other public spaces. I got the opportunity to interview him about his artwork and experiences with the public and the police.
Andy got his start painting items, then mannequins, then transitioned to painting bodies. Individuals have the additional additional facet of personality and I always integrate their character into the painting also, he said. Then https://naturism.top/albums/delectable-nude-plage-women.html started painting live in public so people could see the procedure. But his live work with topfree and entirely naked models didn't just blend into the crowd in Times Square. The very first time he did it, he was kicked out.

Coming from a naturist's viewpoint, I was most interested in hearing about the aspect of public artwork and nudity. How can https://naturism.top/albums/beautiful-naked-teen-enjoys.html and law enforcement respond when they see live art with a lot of skin? (Yeah I Have been down this road before.) How does Andy see nudity as an artist and in general?
https://nudistshots.com/albums/two-women-nudist-girls.html is really legal in NYC when it is part of a play, performance, display or show. (Of course the question must appear, what constitutes a show?) However, when one of Andy's models removed her gstring leaving her completely nude in Times Square, officers were prepared with their handcuffs. https://naturism.top/albums/these-naked-babes-have.html were dropped, but a compromise remains: he is abiding by a rule to paint entirely nude models just after sunlight goes down. NYPD has been notified of this, and Andy does not anticipate additional problem from them when he resumes his work outside.
As expected, you will find those who think what Andy does is flat-out wrong, and though Andy honors their sense of morality, he also says many of them are not able to see nudity without seeing sexuality. I do not think what I am doing is inappropriate, in fact I 'd even say what I'm doing is just the reverse because it is allowing individuals to see nudity in a nonsexual manner. (Sound familiar?) He says folks who do understand his work, see that it is completely nonsexual. All too accurate.
I noted that it's amusing you are able to hardly tell the models are naked at all when fully painted. Andy answered the controversy is not over what people see, but what they don't seea strap or line. Simply knowing the model is nude is enough to create a buzz. Obviously the issue of kids seeing his work has come up as well. https://nudistshots.com/albums/thebeachwatch-young-amateur-babe.html says, The whole concept that children must be protected from it implies that it is sexual in nature, that it is a peep show. And I'm not doing a peep show, I'm doing artwork.
Naked Body Art By Andy Golub
Let me just share this last quote by which he describes his art:
It is a means for [the models] to take themselves for who they are in their strengths and weaknesses and being comfortable in sharing that with other people, which is difficult. Most or all of the people that get painted have somewhat of a liberating experienceMe and the model connect with each other and we do it in full public view so people can link with us. In lots of people's lives there's a certain disconnect that's the result of technology and the manner we communicateUltimately I believe my art is about human link.
Amazing! You can see more of Andy's art and press coverage on his website at andygolub.com
What can you think of the city's response to it? If asked, would you ever participate in public bare body art as certainly one of his models?
